Program Controller | Adjust Sprinklers | How long to Water | Winterizing

How long should I run my sprinklers?

Well this can be a tricky question because it depends on the weather.

What we can tell you is:

The small spray heads (non-rotating) put out 1.40 inches per hour
The large rotors heads (rotating) put out .48 inches per hour

Sprinklers need to put down the same amount of water everywhere onruntime chart your lawn.  Sprays need to run for 10 minutes and the rotors for 30 minutes to put down the same amount of water evenly.  Once you have these times set up, you can use the “seasonal adjust” on your timer to make weather changes.  For example it is 60 deg out in May.  We may want to adjust the “Seasonal Adjust” to 30%.  This will subtract 70% off of our base run times (10 minutes sprays and 30 minutes rotors) are now (3 minutes sprays and 9 minute rotors) We are now puttingdown .07 inches of water per application.

See the chart below for more detail on program run times per aplication
